This painting is signed with a monogram and is dedicated with the artist's love. Mary Benton of Manchester, Connecticut was Dawson-Watson's friend/patron. On the back of the painting is the title and the name "Benton". Dawson Dawson-Watson (1864-1939) worked primarily in the Hartford, Farmington and Lime Rock areas. Gift of The Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company.
