    Saturday Afternoon,

    Nov 3d ‘38

    My Dear Brother,

If you could without very much inconvenience step over to John Olmsted’s and get 3 yds and a quarter and half a quarter of green and black backing like that I got there yesterday, it would be a very great favor done to Mrs Seymour & myself. There is no danger of mistake. It is a yard & 3 quarters wide, at $1.25 a yard. It is wanted forthe occasion [missing] must be had as soon as possible. If it were not her [missing] cases I would not send, for I know how busy you are.

    Yours in a hurry.

    C.

Capt Strong will take it. Some time before Thursday, will you get a pair of thin shoes for Mary, cheap ones, & bring them when you come.
