My dear brother,
I have had the misfortune to break my pin, and should be very much obliged to you to get I mended for me, and send it out the next time the bag comes. I had rather you would send it in that than by any other opportunity. I do not know whether the old one can be put on again, but thought best to send it.
I send you what woolen stockings I can find. I am sorry your clothes are in so poor order, but I am full of business and trouble. Miss Orra and Alma are here – Amanda Hull is at Mrs Seymour’s, and between both, I can hardly breathe.

The wedding is very near – I will write you as soon as I know the exact time. Oh! Oh!
Yours as ever—
C.L.C.
