Weinberg made three different plaster models entitled Between Heaven and Earth in 1987, all incorporating a striding figure recalling the Walking Man by Auguste Rodin. In this drawing, probably a study for Between Heaven and Earth No. 2 (Homage to Rodin), the body parts resemble bones. The overall composition and the title may have been meant to evoke the Greek god Atlas bearing the world on his shoulders. Show less
