Sheet of drawings for a 1969 abstract sculpture by Elbert Weinberg entitled Cloud Machine. All four drawings show oblique views of the sculpture. The forms and configuration of the elements of the sculpture differ slightly in the different sketches. The drawings appear to be preliminary studies for the 1969 sculpture and were probably made about that date. The drawings are on a sheet of letterhead with the printed inscription “Elbert Weinberg / Via Appia Antica, 20, Roma – Tel. 7578658.”

Sculptor Elbert Weinberg (1928-1991) was a Hartford native and Weaver High School graduate who maintained a studio in the Colt Building for many years. He worked in various mediums, including marble, bronze, and other metals. Twice awarded the prestigious Prix de Rome, Weinberg created sculptures that grace museums, public installations, and private collections throughout the United States and Europe.
