Babylonian Cuneiform Tablet, ca. 500 BCE This clay Archaemenid cuneiform tablet is 4.5 cm long, 3.5 cm wide, and two cm thick. It is inscribed on the front and back and on one side. A portion of one end has been lost, but is otherwise it is in good condition. The writing has not been translated but, as with most such tablets, it is most likely an accounting document.
