Rev. Dr. John G. Murray (back row, center) and George B. Chandler (front row, right) pose for a photo with French Lieutenant Paul Perigord, a Catholic priest who enlisted in the French Army in 1914. Perigord was awarded the Croix de guerre by Marshal Joseph Jacques Joffre. Chandler was the Chairman of the Publicity Department, Connecticut Council of Defense. The group are assembled on the steps of St. Joseph's Cathedral rectory at 140 Farmington Avenue.
