Two men and two women who wear striped dresses stand at picket fence in front of two-story five-bay clapboard house with louvered shutters. Full front and right side Victorian porch with Italianate columns has prolific vines. One of the men is with a horse in a dirt road, one of women stands at the fence gate. A chair is on front porch. A one and half story addition behind house on right has two dormers. There is a stone step and hitching post at road edge left of horse. Far left is another house or barn of large block stone with ladder. Large trees in yard and flowering bushes at right side of house behind fence.Inscription on back: "A. Mitchelson" "Don't want / got a lot" "Tariffville" "Elm St."
