The overall configuration resembles the symbol for the Hebrew word chai, which means alive, or living. The monument is made of Corten steel and is eighteen feet high. A road, a stop sign, and leafless trees are in the background. The photograph appears to have been taken shortly after the dedication of the sculpture in October 1981. The digital print was made sometime after the death of the sculptor in 1991. Show less
