Title supplied by cataloger. Possibly the auxiliary sloop yacht Great Republic, designed and built by Archibald Fenton, Gloucester, 1901. She acquired an engine in 1924. Her home port in 1932 was Pine Orchard, Connecticut. Photograph attributed to W. L. Warner, possibly Winthrop L. Warner, a naval architect specializing in wooden boats who was active in Connecticut from 1929 until his retirement to Vero Beach, Florida. The name Pine Orchard (variant name: Hilliar's Grove), for a historical place in Middlesex County, does not appear to be in current use.
