Title supplied by cataloger. Built in Wilmington, Delaware, 1867, and retired in 1907, the City of Lawrence was one of a fleet of steamers owned by subsidiary companies of the New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad and part of the coordinated water and rail transport network that linked New York and New England cities. She was wrecked at New London in 1907. Norwich is at the head of the Thames River, which is formed by the confluence of the Shetucket and Yantic Rivers. Tentative date range based on clothing style.
