A larger sign to the left advertises: "BURR'S FUEL OIL / GASOLINE / MEATS-GROCERIES". Buildings in the background include a Yacht Club and private homes. Several men are standing along the dock.

Title supplied by cataloger. Handwritten on original negative sleeve: "Burrs Dock / Esso". Stamped on sleeve: "75497F / New London / 1936 / 4261". Taken by Rosenfeld and Sons. Morris Rosenfeld founded the New York City-based photography business in 1910. He was a prolific photographer particularly noted for coverage of yachting and other maritime subjects. His sons Stanley, David and Bill were also active in the profession and the family firm.
