Description
The Park River flows from left to right to join the Connecticut River at the right. The point of land between them, on which a sailing vessel is being constructed in a shipyard, is Dutch Point. The Connecticut Valley Railroad crosses the Park River on a bridge. Smoke issues from the smokestack of a steam locomotive engine on the tracks and from smokestacks on industrial buildings in the city. The dirt road in the foreground is Charter Oak Avenue. Animals graze in a field in the left foreground. The covered bridge across the Connecticut River is in the distance. Letterpress text beneath image: "Hartford from Colt's Factory."
