The Center for Educational Innovation was established in 1973 to carry out the following functions: 1) to coordinate information regarding innovation and experimental courses already available on campus, including Urban Semester, Study Abroad, and independent study projects; 2) to receive proposals from students and faculty for such courses or projects as lie outside the scope or interest of individual departments; 3) to administer the individualized major program of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences; 4) to carry out a teaching improvement programs. At present, the teaching advisory service received top priority in our allocation of resources.
