A printed memo expressing the "renewed expressions of confidence and thanks" of Major Assistant Adjutant General Benjamin B. Foster to officers and troops for their performance. The memo is written by command of Major General Peck. There is a handwritten note at the bottom: General Longstreet was in command of the rebel army. Shadek's sketchbook contains several printed items such as forms and notifications and newspaper clippings.
