Description
The exercise corridor of Hillside Home is shown. The plain hallway features a column in the middle, and a set of double doors are visible. To the right are doors with bars, meant to hold back those deemed "insane" at the time. Mental illness was poorly understood in the early part of the 20th century, leading to inhumane methods of treatment such as simply baring patients into rooms that were more jail cell than hospital.
