Description
Bird's-eye view of a small industrial city. The factories of the Meriden Britannia Co. are located on State Street, in the center of town. The Meriden Malleable Iron Co. is at the far left, near the tracks of the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad. Other industries include the Bradley & Hubbard Manufacturing Co., Meriden Silver Plate Co., Miller Bros. Cutlery, Edward Miller & Co., and the Charles Parker Works. Houses and small trees line residential streets throughout the town. The State Reform School is a prominent building with a cupola in the left foreground. A cemetery, planted with trees, is at the far right. Vignettes show the Bradley & Hubbard Manufacturing Co., the Meriden Fire Insurance Co., and the Meriden Britannia Co.
