Description
Stone house with two stories and an attic under a high peaked roof with two dormer windows visible.. Large chimneys flank each end. An ell is visible jutting off the rear of the house. A dry stone wall surrounds the house and a cannon mounted on a carriage sits on the front lawn.The Stone House was built for Reverend Henry Whitfield in 1639 and is the oldest house in Connecticut and the oldest stone house in New England.
