Drawing features a ""medallion"" of George Washington surrounded by the seals of the Colonies, also in ""medallions."" The image is fashioned after an earlier engraving by Amos Doolittle. It reads ""A Display of the United States of America, To the Patrons of Arts and Sciences in all part of the world this piece is most respectfully dedicated by their most obedient, humble servant, John B. Copp, Stonington in Connecticut, July 12, 1793, 14 years.""
