Description
View of a one-story building identified as the old Sears site on the west side of Church Street between George and Crown Streets, New Haven, prior to redevelopment. View appears to be from the east side of Church. The building has three storefronts, each with a "FOR RENT" sign visible in the display windows. A sign painted on the south side of a multi-story building to the north reads in part: "JOHN LEARY'S/BILLIARD/ROOM/IMPORTED and DOMESTIC/ALES". A sign for a Tap Room is visible on the street side of the building at ground floor level. Cars are parked at meters in front of the buildings.
