Description |
Description
Stone beaux-arts building incorporates classical Doric columns, balustrades, a central projecting porch with a broad flight of entrance stairs and flanking wings with two-story rectangular windows. Allegorical sculptures are at the corners of the central pavilion. Grassy lawns and small evergreen trees surround the structure. A paved street is lined with utility poles and leafless trees. Most trees appear to be elms. A wheelbarrow is at the far right. Inscribed on back: "Hartford / (State building's [sic]) Connecticut State Library and Supreme Court Building."
