Writer, gardener, and former inmate Barbara Parsons reads from and discusses her essay Reawakening through Nature: a Prison Reflection and her memoir Puzzle Pieces. Puzzle Pieces was published in Couldn't Keep it to Myself: Testimonies From Our Imprisoned Sisters, an anthology of pieces written by inmates at York Prison and edited by Wally Lamb. Interviewed by Davyne Verstandig, Director of LCWP, and Nan Taylor, Professor of Psychology. This presentation is part of the Litchfield County Writers Project, which was based at the Torrington campus of the University of Connecticut.
