Description
A man and a woman pose outside a brick building with cement steps. The man wears a wide-brimmed straw hat, a white shirt, suspenders and boots with a buckle. He is seated on a wooden stool and is smoking a pipe. The woman wears a plaid dress, apron and eyeglasses. A straw doormat and an iron implement, possibly a boot scraper, are on the porch. Potted plants are on crates at the left. A bush is at the right. A woodpile is at the base of a ruined brick wall in the left background. Inscribed on back: "16th Aug. 1888 / Robert O. Dickey & wife / Mr. Dickey is the guide for the coppermine."
