View of New London Harbor Lighthouse and keeper's house from the northeast. Also visible is a summer house on the rocks that was build by Lieutenant Governor Loomis on Harbor Road (Pequot Avenue), New London. Groups of people in the costume of 1880s stand on shore. New London and Fisher's Island can be seen in the distance, with southwest ledge between. The steamer Manhanset, the side wheeler Sunshine, and sloop Ina are visible among other boats. Ledge Light, built in 1909, can be seen on the horizon.
