Shore Line Junction - Woodlawn line. New Haven Railroad train 13, "The Forty-Second Street," traveling from Boston, Massachusetts, to Grand Central Terminal, at Cos Cob, Connecticut, with FL9 diesel locomotives 2041 and 2021 approaching, with signal station on right. Photograph taken looking east at a point directly across the tracks from the Cos Cob Power Plant (generating station). Fabricated steel gantry overhead feeding electric current from the generating station directly to the overhead wires. No substations are used. (Description provided by the photographer.)
