Description |
Description
Side view of steel bridge on stone piers over shallow, rocky, river bed. This bridge spanning the Farmington River at Satan's Kingdom was built in 1916 to replace a covered bridge. It washed out in the flood of August 1955. Typewritten note attached to the back of the photograph incorrectly states that this bridge was built over the Farmington River at New Hartford Center about 1937.
