Description
Ambulance attendants are moving an accident victim lying on a stretcher into an ambulance on I-91 near Airport Road, Hartford, April 21, 1972. A car with its front end smashed against a dump truck can be seen behind them. A state trooper is visible to the left. Caption clipping on reverse reads: "Manhattan Women Injured", "Two New York City women were slightly injured today when their can[car] rammed the rear of a state highway truck on I-91 near Airport Road, Hartford. Miss Natalie Schneider and Miss Adele Kushner, both 25, were treated for cuts at Hartford Hospital. Miss Kushner was also treated for possible back injuries." Typed along right side of reverse: "new York car plowed under highway dept truck on airport road at i-91 late Friday-two injured and taken to". Stamped on reverse: "HARTFORD TIMES PHOTO BY Einar G. Chindmark". Written on reverse: "ACC & FAT : MV I-91".
