Description
Workers are removing gas cylinders from the back of a truck that lies on its side at the I-91 south West Service Road exit. The truck appears to lie across several lanes of traffic. Caption clipping on reverse reads: "I-91 Accident", "Workmen unload cargo of compressed gas cylinders from truck which overturned at the exit to West Service Road on I-91 southbound this morning. Driver James L. Quinn Jr., 18, of East Hartford said accident occurred when gearshift jammed. Quinn and a passenger, Lance Grindle, 20, of East Windsor, were not seriously injured." Stamped on reverse, in addition to date: "HARTFORD TIMES PHOTO BY Einar G. Chindmark". Written on reverse: "Acc & Fat [Accidents and fatalities] : I-91".
