Description
A field-stone schoolhouse with a later addition extending off the right of the main structure and the main door on the gable end.The Farmington Historical Society website states that the school was built in 1790 and served a school until 1872. The building then saw use as chapel and community center until 1956 when the Farmington Historical Society acquired it and opened it as a museum. The addition was added in 1912 for use as a kitchen for social functions according to a July 1956 newspaper clipping found with the collection. .
