Photographs of the manufacture of the New Haven Railroad's streamlined train Comet, built by the Goodyear - Zeppelin Corporation in Akron, Ohio. Also included are paint swatches of the exterior and interior colors chosen for the train, as well as two writings about the train's debut. The engines for the trains were manufactured by the Westinghouse Company. The Comet was run between Providence, Rhode Island, and Boston, Massachusetts, on a "44 miles in 44 minutes" schedule, beginning in June 1935. The train was scrapped in 1951.
