Description
Rear angle shot of a small wooden schoolhouse from over a wire fence topped with strands of barbed wire. The shutters of the windows are closed.The present building dates from 1805 and served as a school till 1922 according to the East Lyme Historical Society website. In 1926 the Historical Society moved the building 500 yards to its present site by the Thomas Lee House, and currently operates the building as a museum.
