Description |
Description
Brick three story factory building topped by cupola with weather vane. A two story brick wing is attached to the main building to the left of the picture and a wooden one story addition with a smoke stack is in the foreground. In front of this is a section of rapids on the Farmington river. There is some debate as to whether the present structure is the original factory built in 1825 or whether the factory was rebuilt in 1851 after a fire.
