Peace Train was a non-profit organization that produced concerts and events in all of Hartford's public parks and public housing projects from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s. In the early 1980s they began to locate, promote, and develop the hip hop scene in Hartford, including breakdancing and popping (hip hop dance forms) competitions, and a touring young all-star team of dancers and graffiti writers from Hartford.
