Roman Gold Earrings, 1st – 3rd Century CE Earrings are an ancient form of adornment. This is a pair of Roman gold earrings. The body of the earring is a crescent that is secured to the ear by a wire loop. A tiny ring holds the free end of the wire onto the crescent after the earring is placed through a piercing in the ear. 10 mm in diameter.
